We saw the Ring of Kerry today it was INCREDIBLE! we woke up early and went to the Tour office we booker our tour at. we met out tour guide for the day. we drove out of Kilarney he told us about the old Church and the funeral home next to it or as he called it "the smoking section" then he went a head and asked us if we had ancestoers from Ireland, we all said yeah but none that we knew. I was sitting in the front seat, it was a private tour. then he asked me my surname. It's Sullivan I said. and he said "REALLY I'm an O'Sullivan, that was his name Mick O'Sullivan and his dog Boo. Mick was a great guy. he pointed out sights to us we saw many things and Very beautiful views, we saw where O'Connel was born, he was the first Irishman in the English Parlament, and he recended the Penal laws. we saw 3 or 4 Celtic Round forts, lots of Famine cottages, we learned about Comonage, sheep hearding, A peagan ritual where a goat named King Puck is hoisted 60m in the air and rules a town for 72 hours till it is sacrificed to the gods. Mick liked me, must have been because my last name. He was talking about how nice a day it was and he said "this is a delux tour and I better do a right well job with my long lost cousin sitting next to me. then when we got to the point on the ring of kerry across the bay was where the O'Sullivan clan's land used to be. he was telling us about the land the O'Sullivans owned and pointed to it across the bay as we got out of the car my friend Will said were with your peeps now Sevan, and Micks comment was "your in our hood now" it was grand. we visited a a number of small towns Watervill where Charlie Chaplin lived for a wile, is doughters still live there. and a very odd town, odd in a good way, its name was Sneem seemed like they were giving some artifact from countrys all over the world panda statues from China, Articafts from the Pyrimids, and the list continues. we also saw where Quenn Elizibeth had gone and many other things that are too many to list. Mick and Boo were very good Tour guides I had a very good day, but after seeing all the beautiful seenery it is kind disappointing to come back to the big city. but life goes on. one other thing that happened was last night we walked trough the Kilarney National forest after dinner, we walked about 3k to the Ross Castle it was cool, and on our way back we heard a Banshee. no onw knew what it was but me. it was scary, and fun.
